Label TextThis small stoneware jug is from W. E. Welding, a firm that produced stoneware in Brantford, Ontario from 1873-1894. According to a 2023 article in the "Brantford Expositor," the making of pottery was once a major industry in Brantford. As well, Welding's business had roots in the community going back to 1849. And although Welding was no longer associated with the business in 1894, it continued until 1907.
