Label TextThe Forest City Bicycle Club was established in 1882 when cycling would become a popular pastime for Victorian era Londoners. Their first excursion was when bicyclists met at the YMCA and decided to ride as a group to St. Thomas. As this group photograph shows, the Forest City Bicycle Club included female members among the cycling enthusiasts.
