Label TextThese glass salt and pepper shakers belonged to the donor's mother, Mrs. Olive Quickfall of Kitchener, Ontario. Salt shakers began to replace salt cellars once anti-caking agents began to be added to salt in 1911. This created the free-flowing salt required for shakers.
