Label TextIn 1910, London’s J. W. Little purchased the rights to manufacture Holeproof Hosiery from its American founder, Carl Freschl. Freschl had built a loom that produced durable and attractive socks and stockings. They were so durable, the company promised “six months without holes, or a new pair free.” London’s Holeproof Hosiery factory opened in 1911 in a former furniture factory on King Street.
