Label TextWoodland Cemetery was established in 1879 on 100 acres and the bank of the Thames River. It was modeled after a park, allowing mourners to visit in a peaceful, natural environment. An Art-Deco style mausoleum was built in 1919 and can still be viewed on one of the walking tours that are offered during the summer months.
