Label TextLondoner David Henry Ryan (1884-1962) carried this flag every Remembrance Day until his death in March of 1962. Ryan had enlisted three times with the Canadian Expeditionary Force. On each occasion, he was discharged as medically unfit. By carrying this flag, he honoured those who had served during the First and Second World wars.
