Label TextThe city of London presented this certifcate to the London Little Theatre in recognition of its production of the film, "Prelude to Performance."
In the fall of 1949 the London Little Theatre's Motion Picture Committee began production of "Prelude to Performance," a one-hour, sixteen millimetre, silent colour film, which portrayed the various production stages of a play from choosing a play until its public presentation. The film was released in July 1950, with the National Film Board (NFB) acting as its distributing agent. Within two years, the NFB had shown the film 168 times across Canada. To ensure Its availability to amateur dramatic groups, the NFB also produced and placed copies of it in various libraries throughout Canada.
