Label TextThis teapot is part of a set issued to commemorate Queen Victoria’s sixtieth year on the British throne in 1897. Once belonging to Mary Jane Small, it might have symbolized the loyalty she felt for the Queen. It also embodied the loving relationship she had with her father. He gave the set to Mary Jane for her eighteenth birthday, the same date as the jubilee.
