Label TextThis J. Tune & Son ginger beer bottle is made of stoneware. Stoneware bottles concealed the cloudy beverage inside, which did not look appealing to consumers. James Tune established the London Soda Water Works in 1883. His sons, William Alfred, Charles Henry, and John Albert (nicknamed “Nip”) later joined him. The Tunes produced for the local and regional market, one of many such businesses across the province and country.
