Label TextThis pale-yellow sugar bowl features the Soldiers’ Monument erected in London’s Victoria Park in 1912. It serves as a reminder of London’s “South African heroes,” those men from the region who fought and died during the South African War (1899-1902). In July 2000, the City of London rededicated the monument. They added the Royal Canadian Regiment’s badge to commemorate the rededication.
