Label TextThis souvenir cup celebrates London’s Victoria Park. It features the three-tiered fountain added to the grounds in 1879 and removed in 1938. From 1838 until 1874, the British Garrison had owned the land we now enjoy as Victoria Park. Promoters then urged the city to turn it into an “expansive pleasure ground, a breathing place for citizens[.]”
