Label TextDolls have been popular figures for centuries, with porcelain dolls booming in production during the 1800s. This doll was well loved throughout generations. Anna Tull (1844-1928), her daughter Lily Kellogg (1878-1962), and finally her granddaughter, Ann Wurtele (1910-?), played with and loved these elegant ladies whose handmade dresses, underthings, and nightgowns filled a drawer in their nursery chest of drawers. It was Anna who made most of the clothes, always completing them with tiny buttons and appropriate trimmings, so that each item is a miniature reproduction of a real little girl’s outfit.
