Label TextLawson & Jones Folding Box Department staff manufactured cigarette box sleeves, among many other products. Company president, Ray Lawson, secured a contract to make cigarette boxes during the First World War (1914-1918). This kept the company afloat. With access to Germany and Great Britain restricted, calendar supplies were cut off. Advertising calendars had been a company staple.
