Label TextFounded in 1903 as an egg and poultry purchasing depot, Silverwood’s entered the ice cream business around 1914. By the time this circa 1950 sign promoted Silverwood's Big Dip with Rainbow Ice Cream, the company had built an enviable reputation for ice cream that was as “smooth as velvet.”
