Label TextThis Victoria Hospital School of Nursing pin belonged to Nina Ruth Pickering (1907-1986). Nina graduated from school in 1930 at which time she received the pin as a symbol of her accomplishment. According to the 1931 census, Nina worked in private practice once she qualified. Nina married William Magee in 1931. By 1958, Nina and William's daughter was following in her mother's footsteps, in her turn studying to be a nurse.
