Label TextThis album reflects something of a niche cultural market here in London and throughout Ontario and Canada. Scottish heritage fairs and highland games, as well as Celtic music from dance bands to punk, have coloured the cultural make-up of this region. Several of the musicians featured on these albums, including Bobby Frew and Stan Hamilton, who went on to form important Scottish dance bands, made their home in London, Ontario. In their own way, these musicians are as important and influencing as other London music names like the Lombardos, Al Tibbs, although not as widely known.
