Label TextThis shopping bag is from Rowland Hill Limited shoe store. Rowland Hill was born in 1866 in London England and immigrated to London Ontario with his parents in 1869. His career in shoe sales began with working for John McMechan, custom shoe maker, in 1879. He later worked at Cook's Shoe Store from 1880 until 1900. Hill opened his own store later in 1900, settling on Dundas Street. Rowland Hill Limited operated until 1992.
