Label TextThis is a Northern Electric Model 98A telephone line fuse holder/surge protector made of Bakelite. Also described on line as a “telephone terminal box with center fuse and protector.” Incoming lines attached to the bottom and the house connections would be connected to the top. This device came out of a London home and was made by a company with a history in London. Nortel operated a plant, just east of Wellington Rd. and south of Hwy. 401, from 1959 to 1994. It manufactured telephones at this plant.
