Label TextThis memorial plaque hung in the Grand Trunk Railway Car Shops from February 16, 1922, until the facility was later dismantled. The memorial is inscribed with the names of railway employees killed in the First World War (1914-1918). Businesses and church parishes across the city and the country paid to have similar illuminated lists made to commemorate their own dead.
