Label TextThis mortising chisel belonged to Chris Nielsen. Born in Denmark around 1875, he and his wife, Annie, emigrated in 1903. They moved to London in 1912 and Chris worked as a cabinetmaker in what was first the Grand Trunk Railway and, from 1923, the Canadian National Railway, car shops. Nielsen died in 1937.
