Label TextFollowing the Upper Canada Rebellion, London became a garrison town. This long green storage box tells a piece of this history. It once held some belongings of Lieutenant Thomas Parker Rickford (1820-1869), who served with the 23rd (Royal Welsh Fusiliers) Regiment of Foot when it was stationed in London in the mid-1840s. The regiment returned for the years 1850 to 1853.
