Label TextSilverwood Dairy was founded by Albert Edward Silverwood (1876-1961) in 1928 and manufactured cold storage products, milk, ice cream, and butter. Silverwood's acquired a number of smaller dairies and other assets over its years of operation. After Allbert's passing the company expanded in and beyond Ontario. The company was London's largest dairy when it was in operation. By 1984, Silverwood was taken over by the John Labatt’s Limited-owned Ault Foods and the name was carried on as a milk brand until 1999.
