Label TextVictoria House, the Museum of London history, opened at 512 Wellington Street in 1958 and closed in 1965. The structure was demolished in 1966 to make room for the new Centennial Hall. After the Victoria House Museum closed, the artifacts it held went into storage while a new museum was constructed. The Centennial Museum, a Canadian Centennial legacy building, opened in May 1969. It was built in the shape of the five-pointed centennial symbol. It operated as a museum into the 1980s and was demolished in 2005.
