Label TextThis bodice was part of Miss Elizabeth McKay's wedding gown. A schoolteacher at Barrie, Ontario, near Kincardine, Elizabeth married Rev. Albert A. Bice on September 7, 1904. He was the rector of St. John's Church in Barrie and the couple were married in this church. The Bices moved to London in 1910, one year after the birth of their son Albert Clare Bice, later the curator of the London Art Gallery from 1940 to 1972.
