Label TextThis is a 1920s era Toy Tinker pull train. The company is better known for Tinkertoys, the building and construction toy. Stonemason Charles H. Pajeau introduced the first Tinkertoys' product in 1914. He got the idea for the toy from watching children playing with sticks, pencils, and old spools of thread. He started the Toy Tinker Company in Evanston, Illinois, to manufacture them. The toys helped children develop fine motor skills, improve their math skills, boost creativity and imagination, and enhance theirproblem-solving skills through play. In the early 1920s, Toy Tinkers started branching out into other toy designs, including pull toys.
