Label TextThis circa 1920 black crepe de chine dress and matching scarf feature a decorative floral motif constructed of ribbon. The ribbon is far too thick to go through the crepe de chine. For that reason, it is laid on top of the fabric and then attached with couching stitches. The embroiderer used pale green thread that disappears against the ribbon.
