Label TextThomas Wilmot Stone, from Essex County, enlisted with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry on July 1, 1915. He was disabled by a wound received on September 15, 1916 and was honourably discharged about a year later. Stone received this British War Medal because he served served between 1914-1918. The government also authorized it for those who saw service in a theatre of war. The medal is missing its ribbon. It would have been a watered ribbon is 1.25 inches (3.175 cm) wide, and had seven stripes: blue, black, white, orange centre, white, black, and blue.
