Label TextIn this 1914 panoramic photograph, men of the 18th “Western Ontario” Battalion stand on the grounds of Wolseley Barracks, Carling Heights. The battalion was authorized on November 7, 1914. In late 1915, the 142nd Battalion, “London’s Own,” began recruiting in the city. It was the only unit composed entirely of Londoners.
