Label TextThis is a Penman's boy's union suit. London's Penman's factory was built in 1919, and was located on the northwest corner of Thames and King streets. Penmans was a Canadian hosiery and knitwear company based in Paris, Ontario. As Penman's, it operated at this location until 1968 at which point it was sold to Shelby Knitwear which closed in its turn in 1976. The building was demolished in 1978 and the land it formerly occupied is now part of Ivey Park at the forks of the Thames River.
