Label TextThis fork is from Hellmuth Ladies' College. The school was founded in 1869 and located on Richmond Street North, south of Windermere Road, with a view overlooking the Thames River. It was founded by Reverend Isaac Hellmuth and complemented by Hellmuth College, for young men, founded in 1865. Both schools had affiliations with the Anglican Church of Canada. The private school was focused on the study of arts and sciences, as well as offering lessons in social etiquette and dancing. The college granted diplomas, certificates of standing, and medals of merit. It operated until 1899.
