Label TextLondon’s 20th Century Theatres operated at 192-194 Dundas Street from 1964 to 1987. It had a storied past, having begun its life in the 1920s as Loew’s London Theatre. London’s own Guy Lombardo (1902-1977) later performed in the theatre’s large auditorium. This newspaper article details the final days of operation. When asked about what should happen to theatre site, proprietor Frank Paul said "Tear the place down. Put up the office tower and let that be her monument. Don't let her stand there and get all dirty and drab and rot in front of everybody. Take her down".
