Label TextThe University of Western Ontario’s Talbot Theatre, under artistic director Keith Turnbull, presented a series of Canadian plays in 1967, including Londoner James Reaney’s The Easter Egg. Two years earlier, Turnbull and Reaney had co-directed the author’s play, The Sun and the Moon. Turnbull reminisced: “I thought the idea of…working with a real live author, someone who is really right there instead of dead or in New York would be really exciting.”
