Label TextThis tablecloth came from The Tecumseh Hotel. The Tecumseh House hotel opened on December 27, 1858, at the corner of York and Richmond across from the train station. It welcomed many distinguished guests in its more than 70 years of operation, among them royalty, politicians, and other celebrities. The arrival of the railway drew more visitors to the city, spurring the construction of this luxurious hotel. It was demolished in 1929.
