Label TextDolls have been popular figures for centuries, with porcelain dolls booming in production during the 1800s. This doll is modeled as Lily Kellogg (1878-1962) on her wedding day in 1905. The doll wears “something old", a sandalwood fan on her left wrist, "something new", her lace and tulle veil and orange blossoms, "something borrowed", a gold bar pin with seed pearls at both neck and waist, and "something blue", her mesh stockings and kid shoes. She also wears a white brocade petticoat and white lace trimmed knickers.
