Label TextCook's Shoes of London sold these Oxford style women's shoes. Joseph P. Cook owned the shop when these shoes were sold. His father, Philip Cook was a shoe maker in London in the 1860s. At that time, the city’s three biggest shoe factories each employed over 100 people. Leaving the factory around 1865, Philip struck out on his own. Cook's Shoes operated in London until 1990.
