Label TextDaniel Simmons Perrin (1833-1908) started his confectionary and biscuit business in 1854. The D. S. Perrin Company thrived, eventually growing into both a national and international manufacturer of candy and biscuits which at its peak employed 500 people. It survived long after Mr. Perrin's death in 1908, eventually becoming the Canada Biscuit Company when it amalgamated with its local rival, the McCormick Company, in 1926.
