Label TextThis is London's Custom House, later defense headquarters for Western Ontario. Architect William Robinson designed the building, which opened in 1873. It was demolished in the early 1970s. London had become a custom district in 1854, and prior to this building's construction, the custom facilities had been housed in three different temporary offices.
