Label TextService Lamps is the only London company to have manufactured light bulbs. It was founded by Ford Dapueto in 1921. The company manufactured bulbs for house, street, and automobile lights until 1963 when it was sold to Phillips. Phillips continued to operate the plant which was located at 197 King Street until the 1970s when a new facility was built on Airport Road.
