Label TextThis souvenir butter dish has an image of the Collegiate Institute on it. The school was constructed in 1878 as the city's first high school, located at the northwest corner of Dufferin and Waterloo Streets. In 1904, 1000 students were registered and the staff included 22 teachers. The original building burned down in 1920 and was replaced with the London Central Collegiate Institute in 1922, now known as London Central Secondary School.
