Label TextJust as Lawson & Jones acquired other businesses, it too became part of a larger business as the stamp on this box suggests. In 1953, Mardon, Son and Hall purchased 50% of Lawson & Jones shares. That grew to 75% in 1976. Changes in ownership did not affect London workers until the early 21st century. Although Tom Lawson fought hard to keep the company in London, the plant closed, and Lawson & Jones left the city.
