Label TextThis Thames Valley Golf Club tag dates from 1935. The facility opened in 1924 after considerable effort on the part of London's E. V. Buchanan, General Manager of the Public Utilities Commission. As with other riverside golf courses, its builders chose the site along the river for its scenic appeal. The location also provided easy access to water to keep the course green.
