Label TextThis is the 1905 executive of the London Rowing Club. Founded as the London Rowing and Canoeing Club in 1891, the club soon expanded to include the sports of lawn bowling and tennis. It was often referred to as the London Rowing and Bowling Club or simply the London Rowing Club. This club, through the work of the executive and the fees members paid, organized local facilities and grounds for the sports under its purview. Local teams competed against each other and against teams from other cities and municipalities.
