But changing tables in various forms have been a staple piece of furniture in home nurseries for centuries. The function has remained mostly the same, as a stable surface for changing infant's diapers, and storage space for supplies, but the form has changed over the years. Safety regulations have been updated and implemented with wider guardrails, securing straps, and anchors to secure tables to the floor and wall.
