Label TextAlison and Doug Jackson provided this biographical information about Patsy Ann: “Patricia Ann Marilyn Jackson was born on December 1, 1936 to parents Vera Irene (Langford) and St Clair Alexander Jackson. She had an older brother, Melville. They lived at 274 High Street, London. St Clair Jackson ran a radio business called Jackson Radio on Colborne Street, London.
Patsy Ann was a sickly child as she was born with “a hole in her heart,” also known as “blue baby” syndrome. At that time, there was no operation to repair her heart and so she had to be cared for regularly and frequently had breathing problems. She died on May 4, 1941 in the arms of her grandmother Elizabeth (Stewart) Langford. She is buried in Woodside [Woodland?] Cemetery, London.”
Patsy Ann was the child of parents connected to two London families: the Jacksons of Jackson Radio and the Langford’s who ran a business supplies store.
