Label TextRuth (Dengate) Thachuk wore this gown as a member of the Earle Terry Singers choir. Beautifully dressed, the 35 women looked as lovely as they sounded. Their sisterhood, which included 248 women over the years, grew out of a shared love of music and of Earle Terry and his wife, May. The Earle Terry Singers was an all-female choir established in 1948 by Earle Terry (1912-1999). Over its 30 year history, the choir enjoyed regular appearances on CFPL-TV and recorded a CBC radio program from the CFPL studio. Their national/international reputation grew with performances in Canada, the United States and Europe.
