Label TextMerle "Ting" Tingley (1921-2017) was a cartoonist for the "London Free Press" from 1948 until 1986. Ting’s first job as a cartoonist was as a military illustrator during the Second World War. He worked for the Canadian Army magazine, Khaki, and was a contributor for the overseas army newspaper, The Maple Leaf. He worked as a war correspondent during the Korean War (1950-1953). Returning home, Ting found work at the London Free Press.
