Label TextE. Wolff and Sons was founded in 1796 and became The Royal Sovereign Pencil Company Limited. The company produced pencils of all kinds: graphite, carbon, conté, and chinagraph, which were used for marking china and glass. These conté pencils belonged to Albert Edward Templar (1897-1992), who started his art career in 1913, at the age of sixteen.
