Label TextMadeline left work in 1972 to raise her children and returned in 1988 to work for London and Midland/Avco. For its part, London and Midland had its roots in London. In 1947, the Progressive Insurance Company of Canada was founded in London. In 1957, this company changed its name to London and Midland General Insurance Company. In 1962, the Delta Acceptance Corporation, also of London and founded in 1954, acquired London and Midland. Avco acquired Delta in the 1960s. Even though the business changed hands, names often stayed the same. This 1990s mug features the names of a number of Avco employees including Madeline Campbell, Tony Miles, Pam Ireland, Gail Bell, Joanne Defe(?), Charlene McIsman(?), Anne Artenont (?)
