Label TextAfter Margaret Stitt's husband died in 1961, she went back to work for the City of London and worked from 1961 to 1978. Prior to that, she had worked for the city from the 1930s until 1943, the year she married Benjamin Rickaby Stitt. When Stitt re-entered the workforce in 1961, she worked in the Welfare Office, as they needed a mature worker.
