Label TextAs the COVID-19 pandemic worsened, retailers sold out of hand sanitizer. Essential and frontline workers, including first responders and hospitals, found themselves running short of this critical product. And so did Canadians with underlying health issues requiring the regular use of the product. In response, brewers and distillers across Canada and beyond shifted some of their production to hand sanitizer. Union 10, a London distiller, was among them. Using a Health Canada approved, World Health Organization formulation that included 80% ethanol, they at first supplied first responders and community members in need. After, they made their product available to the public for sale.
